File naming

File names will serve to identify an image as being from the Krogh Family Archive, to locate where the original item is, and to provide a unique instance per image.

File names will be in the following format:

KFA_xxxxx_1234.EXT

  • KFA means Krogh Family Archive
  • xxxx is the Record Group
  • 1234 is the unique identifier – when possible, this should reflect a natural order of the objects e.g. the frames on a roll of color print film or the pages in an album

If the work is to be given a title (e.g. “Helen Blackistone Portrait, ca.1921” this will be written to the IPTC Title field

For each Session

  1. Shoot a photo with the small color checker, and make sure second lightest grey is about 75%
  2. Shoot a photo of the blank backdrop and measure evenness
  3. Shoot a photo of big color checker
